Rookie Season a Success for Jeff Curl Racing
This past year was a season of unexpected success and exposure as I entered the late model division. It took a few months, but I was able to pull off a win in my rookie season at the legendary Fairbury American Legion Speedway. I made the UMP Summer National show there and just missed the CBS Sports Televised World of Outlaw Late Model Series Prairie Dirt Classic by a few spots. I was highlighted in the national website DirtonDirt.com with an interview and a segment in their “Summer Nationals Minute”. I ended the season 5th in track points with 25 races placing in the top 10 on 18 occasions. In December during the DirtonDirt.com best of the year awards, I received honorable mention as Top Newcomer of the Year in the entire country.
2019 plans include major internet Pay-Per-View and national television exposure. We are expanding our schedule to 35 nights competing in select Lucas Oil Late Model, World of Outlaw Late Model, and UMP Summer National events. Between Lucas Oil TV, Dirt Vision, Dirt on Dirt, and CBS Sports, almost half of the shows we plan to attend will have some national coverage.
It all kicks off at our annual race party on Feb 16th at the Walton Centre in Fairbury, IL. Check back soon for some exciting news including a full schedule, racecar scheme, and merchandise we'll have for sale in 2019.
